January 30

You can now easily keep track of dates important to your contacts such as birthdays, anniversaries, when you met them or anything else that is important to you. When creating recurring dates such as birthdays, karma will automatically create a recurring event for you, and add a reminder with a due date of your choosing. Access these important date in the contact form (in the additional information section)

See your karmaCRM tasks everywhere now that we’ve added an ICal friendly feed for your tasks. Subscribe to this feed by going to your tasks section and clicking “Subscribe to your iCalendar task feed” below your task filters. Please keep in mind that while these tasks can be displayed externally, they cannot be edited, created or changed there. You’ll need to do that within karmaCRM.

We've made it easy for you to easily upload multiple files at once. This feature is available to all browsers except IE, as the trend generally goes. It also comes with a fancy progress bar. If you use IE you'll still be able to upload files, but just one at a time and without drag and drop.

Up to this point you weren’t able to send emails using the internal email client with files from your computer, well now you can. When sending an email click “Add Local Attachments” or just drag files into the dropzone.

Sometimes you might have logos, or other images that are always a part of your email. To prevent them from getting added to each contact, you can tell karma to ignore them from your emails in the “My Info” -> Dropbox settings.

If you have a standard list with filter saving enabled, or a custom list (not custom reports yet though) you can now easily get to the next or preview record in the list, right from the record profile view.

You can now view all the changes happening to your records in historical order. Access this view by clicking on the action menu in the contacts, companies or deals show view and then select then "View changes made" option at the bottom.

If you've already customized your list, we've added a link in the filters box allowing you to quickly copy and save the filtered list you've created. Once saved these lists are easily accessible from the "Switch to Another List" link located in the right top side menu.

You can now make reports private just like you do contacts or companies.

Each user now has a setting in the permissions section called "Cannot Edit Reports" When checked, this prohibit the user from creating or editing reports. Keep in mind however that users will still be able to view any reports that are not private.

With our expanded relationships feature you can add multiple companies to a contact, link companies together, or add contacts and companies to deals. Relationships can be anything from a contact who referred another contact, to contacts and companies associated with a deal.

In settings, you now have a way to manage your tag cloud for contacts and companies. Here you can rename tags, merge multiple tags together or remove tags that are no longer needed.

November 27

You can now reorder the position of your calendars in "My Info" -> "Calendar Settings". This can be used to ensure your most important calendar appears in the top of your sidebar list. Moving a calendar to the top will also make that calendar the default when adding new events.

When connecting your karmaCRM account to Google calendars, you can now choose to pair it with an existing karmaCRM calendar instead of creating a new one. When selecting an existing calendar you'll also have the option to export all existing events to the Google Calendar as well.

November 16

You can how expand any history note in "full view" by simply clicking on the body of the note. This prevents you from needing to click "Go to note" unless you choose to. If you want to shrink the note back down to a smaller truncated size, simply click it again.

Tasks now appear in the correct order (by due date) in the deals task section.

You can now easily toggle between custom lists you've created. This allows you to create many different lists with different columns and filters, and easily navigate between them without having to leave your list view.

After much adieu, the karmaCRM mobile app is here. We understand the importance of accessing your contacts and CRM data on the run and want you to know we are committed to constantly expanding our mobile presence. This launch is just the first of many regarding mobile so be on the lookout for more to come. This version is still beta, but we wanted to get it into your hands as quickly as possible to get your feedback.

We've added a widget that allows you to show broadcasts and announcements you've posted to your users right on the dashboard. Notifications posted today will be highlighted to draw attention.

We've made it easier to identify duplicates by adding duplicate record detection to contacts and companies. When adding a contact or company, if the name or email address matches an existing record, you'll get a red notification of any potential duplicates it found. You can continue to create the record if you choose, but at least you'll know there is a potential duplicate. This detection runs on all records whether it's private or not to help minimize redundancies.

We understand the importance of knowing that no contacts slipped through the cracks of your sales cycle. This is why we added some advanced note filtering to contacts and companies. Any time a note is added to a contact or company, this timestamp is updated.

We just added support for other date formats such as dd/mm/dd (European) and yy-mm-dd (ISO). Access this setting by going to "My Info" and then down to the Time Zone & Notifications section.

Upon completing your events and tasks, you can now log notes about how the task or event went. These notes will show up in the history. If you are adding notes to an event, you'll have to wait for the event to pass before adding closing notes.

September 14

Once a meeting has passed, you can enter notes about the meeting. These notes will be logged to history and will also show up in the event popup. Consider this marking the event "complete" and adding closing notes. Please keep in mind you cannot add meeting notes to events that have not yet occurred.

When an event is created, and when an event is "completed" (by adding closing meeting notes) these actions are now recorded in history.

When you are viewing deal popouts, you will now see associated contacts and their information. This is also true when viewing a contact, you will see their company and its associated contact information.

Now you have control over who's tasks appear in your task calendar. Your tasks are shown by default, but you can also select another users', or show tasks for the entire organization.

Now you can save and reuse your CSV import column mappings. If you always import data in a certain format, or always want certain bulk actions performed, now there's a way to easily save your settings for later instead of having to remap the columns each time.

If you want to add a tag to all of the contacts in your CSV, or ensure they are all set to the contact stage "Lead", well now you can. Pair this feature with the ability to save your column mappings for powerful import automation.

There was an issue with events spanning more than one month not showing up in the next month, and this is now resolved.

Now your existing contacts can be tracked as referral sources. When adding a new contact, simply select "Existing Contact" from the Referral Source drop down. You'll be asked to search for an existing contact.

Create a report showing all your contacts who are referrers, and the people they have referred. Makes it easy to ensure you give your high volume referrers their proper kudos!

August 10

You can now choose what type of history is shown in both your dashboard and the profile views. Simply select "All History", "Notes & Emails", "Activities" or "Notifications" depending on your preference. Your settings will be automatically saved each time you change them.

If you want any comments to automatically load in the history feed (ala facebook) go to "My Info" then browse to the history section.

Now you can choose how many words to show of a note in the history "full view". Select 'show full note' if you do not want any limits on your notes.

August 4

We've added special custom fields for currency and dates. If you select the date custom field, the calendar popout will appear when clicking in the custom date, allowing easier date selection. If you use the currency field, the amount you enter will be formatted properly using the currency of your choice.
